Who knew George Clinton and P-funk were being so directly apocryphal with their oft-repeated threats to "Tear the roof off the sucka"? Not this author. Easily the most controversial book in the Bible, Revelations sparked a dustup in 4th century Rome over its inclusion in the Great Book. The (mis-)reading of apocalyptic literature also forms the backdrop of conflict and Inquisitorial persecution to Umberto Eco's excellent 'The Name of the Rose'. As for what it does - or does not - say: apart from being the only book in the Bible to explicitly mention dragons, a decided plus, Revelations reads pretty much like what it is, an intermittently transcribed oral diary of the visions of a man living - in a way which makes 'Survivor' contestants seem like guests at The Plaza - on a sun-blasted bit of rock off the coast of Greece. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ almighty - altar - amen - angel - art - beast - aehold - blood - book - christ - city - clothed - cried - day - death - down - dragon - dwell - ear - earthquake - elders - eyes - faithful - fear - fell - fire - first - fornication - four - gates - glory - god - golden - hand - hath - heard - heaven - holy - honour - horns - horse - hurt - image - jesus - lamb - life - light - lord - loud - mark - men - midst - mighty - nations - night - nor - one - overcometh - people - pit - plagues - poured - power - prophets - saints - satan - sea - seal - servants - seven - sharp - sitteth - slain - smoke - spirit - stars - stone - sun - sword - temple - ten - testimony - thou - throne - thy - time - tribe - true - twelve - voice - war - waters - wine - woman - word - works - world - worship - worthy - wrath

$ 24.50
The Alphabet, Counted http://authors.spreadshirt.com/the-alphabet-counted-A952492
This shirt was created using the complete list of words at www.wordcount.org -- a beautiful work of art created by Mr. Jonathan Harris -- which represents the 86,800 most frequently written words in the English language. This letter along with a few other sheets of parchment went on to become the basis for the federal government of the United States of America. The values they stand for have been poked, prodded, stretched, torn and ignored, but still inspire many to work for "a more perfect union". In commemoration of all this, we present to you 230 of the most-frequently used words in the Declaration of Independence, the U.S. Constitution, the Bill of Rights and those other seventeen amendments. This letter along with a few other sheets of parchment went on to become the basis for the federal government of the United States of America.
